Short version: you pay once, the key is yours, you can use it on all your devices, and you can get your money back within 30 days.

What you buy
Ownplate is free to use. Ownplate Pro is a one-time purchase of a personal license key that unlocks Pro in the app. There is no subscription and nothing renews or charges you again.
The key is checked on your device, so Pro keeps working offline.
Where you can use it
Use your key on all of your own devices, and share it with the people in your household. Please don’t publish it or share it beyond your household.
Refunds
Within 30 days of buying, you can have a full refund with no questions asked. Reply to your receipt email or your license key email and say you’d like a refund.
To be honest about how this works: the key is checked on your device, so we can’t switch it off after a refund. It works on trust. After a refund we ask you to stop using Pro, and we won’t send that key again.
The app is provided as is
We work hard to make Ownplate reliable, but it is provided as is, without any promise that it will be free of mistakes. Check recipes yourself for allergies and food safety, and make a backup now and then (Settings, Backup) so your data is safe if a device is lost or its browser data is cleared.
Recipes
Recipes that come with Ownplate
The recipes included in Ownplate are original works, © 2026 benjiapps. Cook them, change them and share a meal with anyone. They are for your personal use, so please don’t republish or sell them.
Recipes you import or add
Recipes you import from a website still belong to their authors. Ownplate stores them only on your device, for your personal use. Recipes you type in yourself are yours.
Updates
We may update the app to fix problems, add recipes or change features. When you open Ownplate while online, updates download by themselves and take effect the next time you open it.
If benjiapps ever stops
An Ownplate already installed or opened on your device keeps working offline, Pro included, because the key is checked on your device. Your backup file is plain JSON that any program can read. Importing from a link needs our server, so that would stop.
